Amid rumors that his brother has committed a terrible crime, a hard-luck carpenter soon finds the man hiding in his home. His brother will not confirm nor deny the accusations: the more he talks the more it becomes clear he is the culprit. When pressed for answers by a local sheriff, Munk Hoad must decide whether their familial bond is strong enough that he’d assist an evil man in eluding punishment.
